Effects of Respiratory Enhancement on Oral Function in Cerebral palsy

Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to investigate whether breathing promotion activities were effective in improving swallowing ability in children with cerebral palsy with swallowing disorders.

Method: Children between the ages of 2 and 7 with swallowing disorders, 10 people in the general swallowing training group, 10 people in the respiratory enhancing activity group, and a total of 20 people were tested 5 times a week for 30 minutes for 4 weeks. FDS, PAS, and F-S were used for evaluation, and all statistical significance levels of the data were set to p<.05.

Results: As a result of conducting general swallowing training with breathing training for children with difficulty swallowing, the results were significantly improved in FDS, PAS, and F-S after the experiment.

Conclusion: The treatment program for children with swallowing disorders was confirmed to have a positive effect on overall improvement of swallowing function.
